You know, all that SOE bullshi-- has taken away all my fire for doing my Mx and MxO related projects. Well not ALL of it, but I've taken a huge hit and I am most certainly not the only one. I'll try to finish up on the Corruptor Project First Phase. I too have started to test what proportions "chibi" characters should have but that was also before the EPIC FAIL. I hope to get my spirit back about the Matrix universe, otherwise those projects will become mere time killers.

If SOE doesn't undo the fail somehow, well, it doesn't matter, I'll just say it now:

Progress, I have made some on the Corruptor project. In fact I made so much progress that it seems it has reversed backwards and now not even the head (of the fly) remains (it does in a hidden layer anyways). I remade the head (thought it was ok at first) then did the body (twice). THEN I thought it sucked and created a new base from scratch. Well it certainly looks like a fly ... in unicolour and without details and in-fact anything. I can't seem to make progress (which also seems to be a bit of a problem in my practica, I'm behind my own schedule -_-). The problem is, when I look at something (like art) that I did myself, sooner or later (the first one most of the time) if I look at it intensely ... it doesn't satisfy me. I'm not Mr. Perfect (as if I could do that anyways) but when that happens I fiddle around that I either destroy it (unintentionally) or reverse my progress (this case) or I stop working on it completely.

I don't wanna give up on this one, yet ... since I actually, well, wrote it on teh_ it3rnets and do hope I get to put it up ... someday (soon).

Change of topic: Projects
I have enough of those (at least another 4) that I could start working on. Again most of them are Matrix or MxO based, since I haven't really found anything else (sci-fi, fantasy, etc. based) that I like as much as the Mx universe. Those projects would be:
Chibi Matrix characters (>_> well in my mind a mountain of chibi smith's in chaos trying to get after the chibi trio (Morpheus, Trinity, Neo), who're calmly walking away, with those silly Manga expressions is just too ... ya know, funny <_<)
3 manga-like story-boards for "trailers" for a "successor" (or rather ... a near restart) of MxO, which is of course, purely fictional, there'll never be a successor game to MxO T_T One of those storyboads I have already written down in a .txt, but heck I suck at writing, so before I'll start on this one, if ever, I'm gonna ask someone else to rewrite it, someone who CAN write -_-
The third one is my favourite of those 3 and the oldest: 7 sins of MxO. Portraits of a Mx(O) character for each sin (which I've already decided on, except for wrath and avarice). Of those 3, this one is also the most difficult IMO.


Oh and please, if you like the ideas, please work on them. I have no idea if I'll ever get to them and so at least (if someone actually reads this lol) somebody could try to do it themselves.

Weeelll, I did start on my next project (that I hopefully will carry through the next [few] month): A painting of the Corruptor from MxO.

I'm starting off small ... very small, with a single fly or better to say a "Calliphora Vicina" (thanks Othinn from the MxO boards).
Eventually the first drawing will be a simple fly and the next step will be "corrupting" that fly, ya know, with green code, black smoke, rotten parts of the body and stuff.

The next major step will be constructing the Corruptor of "paths" (kinda like the anatomy of the Corruptor). On those I will later (next step) paste simplified versions of corrupted flies (smaller than the above, scaled for correct size in proportion to the size of the Corruptor, a dozen variations or so) and fill the path with those. All path will originate at what I call "the lightning core", the central piece of the Corruptor. From there all corrupted flies spawn and swarm out in streams that wrap around the sillouette of the Corruptor until they drop dead and fall to the ground or become part of the Corruptors smaller spawns (Corrupted with humanoid form and size). The Corruptor will not actually be "filled" completely with flies, flies just make up the outer Body, the skin. The interior of the corruptor is corrupted code smoke (originally air which becomes corrupted) and corruptor lightning (both originating from the core again).
Since the Corruptor is not really a complete physical form it will hover above the ground rather than standing (since it's bascially a fly monster anyways). I will draw feet, but those will be like "stumps" rather than complete legs.


Oh well, first WIP of the fly's head is up. Also note that even though I explained the steps and some details above ... it's not likely that I will carry it through (though I wish that I will).
